SUPPORT US IN RAISING £450,000 TO BUILD A BRAND NEW VILLAGE HALL
In October 2025, plans were submitted to North Yorkshire Council for the demolition and replacement of the existing village hall.
After almost 100 years of continuous community use, the current building—originally a repurposed structure—has nearly reached the end of its functional life and is no longer fit for purpose. The proposed redevelopment will deliver a modern, accessible, and sustainable facility designed to meet current and future community needs.
The total project cost is £450,000. To date, the trustees have allocated £70,000 from the successful sale of Flaxton Old School, with the balance held as a reserve for maintenance. Village donations are already adding to this total and further funding is sought from villagers, grants and other donations.
